In-patient mental health services are delivered at a range of hospital sites across NHSGGC.
Dykebar Hospital - is currently the main in-patient facility for treatment for mental health within Renfrewshire.
Gartnavel Royal Hospital (GRH) - is a centre for in-patient mental health care, with wards for adult acute in-patients, elderly in-patients and an intensive psychiatric care unit housed in a new purpose-built hospital, opened in 2008.
Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH) - Langhill Clinic Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) provides Acute Inpatient services in a 20 bedded unit. Langhill Clinic IPCU provides Intensive Psychiatric Care in an 8 bedded unit. Ward 4 Larkfield Unit provides elderly acute in patient services (Functional & Organic) in 2 x 10 bedded wards. The Argyll Unit provides the base for the memory service and clinic and outpatients for older people.
Dumbarton Joint Hospital - Glenarn Ward is an in-patient service for older people with Dementia.
Leverndale Hospital - has facilities for acute adult mental health care and an intensive psychiatric care unit. Low security forensic mental health in-patient services are also based on this site.
Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) - contains facilities for elderly in-patients and a psychiatric day hospital for older people.
Skye House - is a purpose built facility on the Stobhill Hospital site that provides a range of dedicated services for young people who have serious mental health problems. This facility treats young people from across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Stobhill Hospital - contains acute in-patient admissions wards within McKinnon House, which is the adult inpatient mental health unit sited on the Stobhill Campus.
Vale of Leven Hospital - houses Fruin / Katrine Wards for individuals with any type of Dementia who have challenging behaviour and / or complex nursing needs.
Children and Young People's In-Patient Unit (Ward 4) - is located within the Royal Hospital For Children, and offers treatment of severe and complex mental health problems in children aged 5-12 from across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
