What do they do

The Dietician provides advice to homeless patients and their advocates, on all issues relating to food.  Often weight loss is associated with drug or alcohol problems, therefore the Dietician aims to prevent nutritional depletion or rectify it before it reaches clinical significance.  Sub-clinical deficiencies can lead to sub-optimal function and increased risk of disease.

The Dietician offers advice with therapeutic diets and recommends supplement prescriptions where appropriate.

A healthy eating plan can be devised for patients with limited budget or without cooking facilities.
