For most adults, a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) is in the 18.5 to 24.9 range. If you want to calculate BMI and find out if you or someone else needs to lose weight use the BMI calculator.
We can help…..
Glasgow and Clyde Weight Management Services target people with existing health conditions that will be improved by losing weight. So If you have Diabetes; Heart Disease or have previously had a Stroke and have a BMI of >30 then you can self refer to the weight management service by: calling the following number:

In addition your GP or Consultant may also offer you a referral to weight management services.
Once we have your referral information you will be directed to the most appropriate service for you:
All services are free to people living in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area and who are overweight and have a relevant health condition.
