NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Pain Service

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Many of you accessing this webpage will have already received a letter informing you that your appointment at the pain service has been cancelled. You will be aware that the NHS is facing an unprecedented crisis in terms of demand on its services. The major effect of this is that most routine outpatient and inpatient services have been suspended whilst the NHS tackles the Covid-19 crisis. At the same time, we want to reassure you that you have not been forgotten about. As soon as it is safe to do so, you will be contacted by us with details of when you will be seen. In the meantime, if you have any urgent concerns regarding your pain condition, please contact your GP (telephone them, do not attend the practice without an appointment) or telephone 111 for advice.

We are also aware that many of you will be stuck in the house, either social distancing or self-isolating, and that this will mean that it is harder to access your usual sources of support. We have therefore put together a list of resources that you can access either online or by telephone. These are given below. Good luck with everything and we hope to see you soon, when normal service has been resumed.
