What are you recruiting for?
We are recruiting for two Modern Apprentice Plumbers (Craftsperson) to join our Estates and Facilities teams.
Our Plumbers provide services in a range of minor building cross trade skills (i.e. Plumbing, drainage & joinery) across the Gartnavel Hospitals Campus (Glasgow City West) and Royal Alexandra Hospital (Paisley).
Our buildings can date from the late 19th century to mid to late 20th century and new hospital builds.
What does the Estates Team do?
The Estates teams within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are responsible for the provision of a safe comfortable & statutory compliant environment for our staff, patients and visitors.
The Estates Department ensures the effective provision of state of the art clinical care for our patients which is achieved by maintaining and delivering an effective Planned Preventive Maintenance programme and reactive repair service as well as executing installation and commissioning works of critical plant and equipment to support the delivery of all clinical services.
The estates department provides an integral contribution to the continual management & control of Health Associated Infection with respect to the built environment, in compliance with national Health Environment Inspectorate (HEI) & Healthcare Associated Infections Teams and Domestic Monitoring Tools (DMT).
