All employees are required to perform the duties of their post to an acceptable standard. The policy and procedure is designed to deal with those cases where the employee is lacking in some area of knowledge, skill or ability resulting in them being unable to carry out the required duties to an acceptable standard.  This policy enables those staff to be provided with the support, encouragement guidance and training required to improve their work performance.
