Irritation from FRSM/Surgical Masks
Please do not submit a management referral form if a staff member is experiencing irritation from wearing a surgical or FRSM mask. Further Guidance on prevention and management of skin irritation can be found here
Or further advice contact the nursing team on 0141 201 0594.
MANAGEMENT REFERRALS:
Due to Covid-19 we are having to modify the way we deliver the management referral aspect of our service. Please be aware that we are operating a limited management referral service and are no longer able to accept all routine management referrals.
Revised Management Referral criteria:
If the referral is in relation to an imminent return to work the line manager should explore the details of this with their member of staff in the first instance. If there is any concern regarding potential residual symptoms that may impact on their ability to deliver their normal role you may wish to consider whether modified duties may be feasible.
A phased return may also enable a more successful transition back to work. The new Once for Scotland attendance policy enables a 4 week phased return on full pay NOT requiring the use of accrued leave.
All referrals considered non-essential will not be dealt with at present.
If after following these steps you still require further guidance, please discuss this with the OH department preferably by email in the first instance [email protected] or by telephone on 0141 201 0600.
Information & Further Resources
We are aware that staff have a lot of questions about the current situation. In response to this, a number of resources are available to staff via the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde website and Staffnet to provide further information and guidance.
The links below have all the current guidance and this will be updated as more information is available. Please speak to your manager in the first instance if you are concerned.
If you still require advice following this, please contact the Nursing team on 0141 2010594. We have increased our capacity for answering calls with additional phone lines but there may still be a delay in your call being answered. Please note the service is open from 8am to 6pm.
