A manual handling assessment will be carried out in the workplace by your supervisor. These pages outline the Moving and Handling assessment approach within NHSGGC.

A Positive Working Environment (Dignity at Work)
NHS GGC is committed to creating a work environment which is free of bullying, harassment and victimisation and where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. This presentation highlights all policies that are in place within the organisation to ensure this happens.

Role and location-specific support
You will be buddied with an existing member of staff and a supervisor will train you on the practical elements of the job that you will be undertaking, i.e. domestic, catering or portering. You will remain with the buddy until the supervisor is comfortable that the you have been fully trained and are competent in all elements of the role. Uniform will be provided and ID badge will be updated to reflect the role you are undertaking.

If you have an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate you would be able to work within the catering services. Please provide a copy of the certificate if appropriate.
A LearnPro certificate will be required in order to evidence that you have completed all statutory and mandatory training online. You will also be asked to complete an additional sign off to confirm that you have viewed the presentations on HR Connect.
