Learning, Education and Training

The Learning and Education service offers a range of development opportunities for all staff from entry into post and throughout the span of your career. From formal qualifications to learning pathways, we will provide you with practical solutions tailored to your needs. This might be by gaining a work based qualification, attending a classroom session or using an e-learning module.

Our Learning, Education and Training Catalogue outlines information on the wide range of tutor led and e-learning courses that are available. Access to e-learning is flexible and resources can be accessed from mobile devices, work or home PCs at any time.

You should keep a record of your learning and development in your Personal Development Plan, please refer to have guidance on the processes used within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

You can get support for learning through our staff NHSGGC Bursary Fund.

From 23rd November 2018 you will be able to book a place on the courses using eESS Learner Self Service facility

Please refer to the eESS page for eESS Go-Live Information.
The Oracle Learning Management (OLM) component of eESS will enable employees to directly enrol to courses, subject to manager approval (please refer to the OLM page).
