NHSGGC Moving and Handling Bariatric Guidelines contain guidance related to the management of moving and handling bariatric people. Information about bariatric equipment available within the main hospital sites is here (updated 19th January 2018).

Rental information for bariatric beds

The bariatric beds on the Clinical Therapy Bed Contract, including advice on which one to order and ordering instructions. Information about electric profiling beds and their safe workling loads currently in use within NHSGGC can also be found in the document. In addition to the bariatric beds, other specialist beds are also available on this contract, including low level beds and spinal beds - details can be found here (NHSGGC logged in staff only).
