Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

Information and guidance for public, NHSGGC staff, and community-based services.  Hospital visiting restrictions now in place.

Patient and Visitor Parking

A maximum four hour stay operates at patient and visitor car parks, Monday to Friday, between 7.30am – 4.30pm) on the following hospital sites:

  • Gartnavel General Hospital  campus
  • Gartnavel Royal Hospital campus
  • Royal Alexandra Hospital
  • Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus and the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow
  • Stobhill Hospital / New Stobhill Hospital
  • New Victoria Hospital
  • West Glasgow ACH

This maximum stay has been introduced to prevent staff, commuters and other non bona fide users taking spaces allocated for patients, many of whom are elderly or disabled.

Management systems will be used to monitor usage and identify vehicles which breach time limit or leave and return without good reasons.

Users who exceed the maximum stay will be liable for a £40 Unauthorised Parking Notice (reduced to £20 if paid within 14 days). Patients or visitors who may require to park for longer than four hours will be able to obtain an exemption pass from their ward or department.

There are different parking arrangements at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.  Find out more about these via the link below:

New arrangements are in place at the QEUH and RHC as of late August 2016. More information is available via the link below.
