With a view to supporting the local community and board-wide health care services, the centre includes a range of bookable accommodation. Currently free of charge, the accommodation is available to organisations or individuals who are non-profit making with a health focus i.e. NHS, registered charities, etc. Typical uses are health awareness event, launching of health promotion literature or services, health related conferences and training, support groups, counselling, carer groups, physical exercise and assessment.
The accommodation consists of a conference room, four training/meeting rooms, an activities room, and a fully equipped IT suite. To view information about any of these rooms click the relevant link in the left hand menu.
Complimentary tea and coffee is available from our cafe. Catering can also be provided at a modest cost with choices ranging from sandwich and finger buffets to hot food with waitress service.
The Conference Room
An impressive conference room that can accommodate up to 50 people equipped with large screen, PC/DVD/CD, visualiser, projection equipment, microphone system and induction loop.
In addition to the conference room, three training/meeting rooms are available, each seating up to 22 people and equipped with CD players, dry wipe boards and flip charts. A portable data projector and laptop may also be requested for use in these rooms if you ask at the management office or telephone 0141 201 9800 (69800).
An additional meeting room is available which can accommodate up to 12 people.
The activity room is an all-purpose space that can be used for activities, from exercise to physiotherapy, physical health assessment, ante-natal and weight management programs. Complete with sprung floor, mirrored wall, air conditioning and a variety of exercise equipment e.g. treadmill, cross-trainer, rowing machine and kettle bells, (an assessment is required to use equipment) for staff only. The activity room is truly versatile.
The IT Room is a small literature/reference section used for literacy classes.
