18 Weeks Referral to Treatment Programme

What is 18 Weeks Referral to Treatment?

18 Weeks Referral to Treatment (RTT) is a programme that aims to improve the patients' experience of the NHS.  It supports the Scottish Government's commitment that a patient won't have to wait any longer than 18 weeks from GP referral to the start of their treatment, from December 2011.
