Victoria Hospital (New), Endoscopy - Firstly can I say I’m not a hospital person not that I don’t like them it’s I just don’t have cause to use them very often unless it’s an absolute necessity which this time it was.  So you hear so much criticism about the NHS and it’s always the bad things you hear but the good things seem go unnoticed as they are taken for granted and more often expected. So I for one would like to give credit and praise in abundance where it’s due and is directed straight at the endoscopy ward and everyone involved from my initial contact regarding my appointment in the New Victoria Glasgow on the 27/9. Charge Nurse Heather and her and team - Thank them so much for everything and keep up the good work.  I’d like to request this is sent to the appropriate ward so as the staff know that they are appreciated and it’s not just the negative feedback they get to hear about.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Urology - I would like to thank all the staff who looked after my 15 year old son yesterday. He had an emergency operation and every member of staff we had contact with was professional, kind and caring I can’t thank them enough. From children’s A&E to staff on ward 2C thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I write to express my deep gratitude for the treatment I have received since breaking my wrist three weeks ago. From the Minor Injuries Unit and Fracture Clinic at New Victoria Hospital, and Ward 10D at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, both in Glasgow, and from my home GPs at Ullapool Health Centre, Highland, I have received excellent and prompt attention. In addition, I have been shown, at every stage of my injury, care, concern, and respect. I have been highly impressed by the communication between all of the facilities named above. Everyone is aware of the pressures facing the NHS and its staff. That I have received such superb care is a tribute to everyone involved. My sincere thanks go to them all. Best wishes.

Gartnavel Royal Hospital - We attended the Ambulatory Care Unit today and were assisted by Malcolm Morrison, Nurse Practitioner. He is a real credit to your service. He went above and beyond today assisting us in accessing help which we seem to be unable to access before. He showed real empathy towards our situation fully understanding and looking for a way for us to take forward a plan to improve our current health situation. If only more staff were like him the service would be amazing. Thank you so much for all you did today, you have no idea of what it has meant. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Dermatology (Skin) - Today at my appointment within the dermatology clinic which I attend every 4 weeks I noticed how well run this department is. The waiting room was full and constant queue at reception the staff worked very well together I was taken in by auxiliary first then a doctor, everything just seemed to flow really well very well organised. I feel the staff need praise for this as I have had experience in other departments yet none was as organised as dermatology. Also every member of staff is so helpful and friendly could not ask for more as a patient.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - My mum, Irene Highet was in ward 2, Inverclyde hospital and cared for by the most dedicated nursing staff. We live in Australia and it was a very worrying time for us but each time we rang ward 2 the charge nurse and the nurse on day shift Kathleen Love were so caring and informative. It was lovely to talk to mum when she got home and she also sang their praises. Please pass on our thanks to them.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - My Mum was in ward 61 Glasgow Royal on Wednesday 19th September till Tuesday 25th September. She has extreme Alzheimer's and lives in a care home. I've no doubt all the staff are very good, however one nurse called Jennifer was absolutely brilliant with my Mum and us. She showed genuine care towards Mum's treatment and kept us informed of all stages in her progress. Nurses with Jennifer's attitude and professionalism make an unwanted hospital stay so much more comfortable. Thank you very much Jennifer.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - RAH Maternity, 20th April 2017 A quick comment about the care I received during my pregnancy and delivery of my second child from October 16- April 17. I had a traumatic delivery with my first child, which resulted in an emergency C-section and a major PPH. Consequently, I was very nervous during my second pregnancy. I was encouraged by a midwife to attempt to have a VBAC delivery in the early stages of my pregnancy. I didn't want this and was subsequently listened to by another midwife that I wanted to be looked after under a consultant and ultimately deliver my baby by elective C-section. I was fully supported by Dr Bollapragada in my request for a C-section and booked in on a date my choice after 39 weeks gestation. The day of the delivery I and my husband were treated with absolute kindness and respect by all staff involved. We were kept fully up to date on when we would go to theatre and Dr Bollapragada, was our surgeon on the day of delivery, purely by chance. On the 20th April 2017, we were taken to theatre at 10.30am and our 8lb 2oz daughter was delivered at 11:06am. The delivery was straightforward, the anaesthetist understood how nervous I was and was very understanding and took his time putting the spinal in and constantly reassured me I wouldn't feel anything. The whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. And nothing better in this world to hear my baby's first cry. We were well looked after on the recovery ward, until going to the postnatal ward for a night and were discharged later the following day. Scott, our maternity assistant, was amazing on the postnatal ward and very understanding and encouraged me to get out of bed and moving as soon as I felt able. After four and a half years of dealing with the trauma of my first child's birth, the positive birth of my second child has gone a long way to help make things so much better and it was all the staff involved who were instrumental in doing this. Thank you!

Gartnavel General - Hi I would like to compliment all the staff at Gartnavel General Hospital for being welcoming and very kind during my admission on Wednesday 22nd August 2018. They calmed me down massively during my procedure which I was very nervous about and also prior to this the nurse who took my details even made me some tea and toast! Great job all round from all staff. Apologies it has took me so long to submit this as I was planning on doing the same day! Many thanks.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I have nothing but praise for all staff I came into contact with after my admission to ward 24. I have crohns disease and spent a week as an inpatient from the 2nd till 9th of September. Mr Butar the consultant along with all ward staff was kind and sensitive to my condition. The aftercare I am receiving from my colorectal CNS is brilliant. I know if I need anything I can call and my call will be returned. Thank you to everyone I came in contact with.

Royal Hospital for Children, A & E - I was very happy with the service my six-year-old son received during a recent visit to the children's A&E (Tuesday, Sept 18, around 4:30 p.m.). The waiting room was packed with patients, so my expectations were pretty low, but we were seen by triage within half an hour, and taken to a room, at which point everything ran really smoothly, and the staff were super, from nurses and aides to doctor. The consultant physician (Michaela?) was fantastic, using lots of distracting techniques during examination to get my child to move sore limbs and extract information from him. She also seemed very thorough and knowledgeable, making observations before we even got into the exam room about how he acted while being carried, etc. It was very reassuring and put me at ease. The facilities were also reassuringly clean and modern, and we were back home within two hours, including an x-ray, so I was pleased with the turnaround time. The entire experience was much more pleasant than I was expecting, so kudos to all for making it so, especially on such a busy day.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I would like to gratefully thank and highly commend the staff dealing with my sleeve gastrectomy on 17/09/18. All staff that I dealt with from Mr Andrew MacDonald and his surgical team to each and every member of the nursing team but especially Hannah Kennedy was magnificent in their dealings with me and very warm, sensitive and attentive. Thank you so much to all of you.

Stobhill Hospital (New) - I brought my daughter in for a biopsy and the service she/we received from Dr Kumar was world class. This includes the nurses who were supporting. Please pass on our gratitude.

Stobhill Hospital (New), Podiatry, General Surgery - I was admitted to the Day Surgery Unit at Stobhill Hospital on 24th August for surgery to my foot. From reception at 7.45 to discharge at 18.00 I was treated with care, professionalism & compassion. As an NHS employee myself, I am only too aware of the sometimes negative feedback which the service receives but speaking as a patient, I cannot praise all the staff highly enough for the excellent standard of care given. The Day Surgery Unit at Stobhill is a credit to the Health Board.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - From NHS24 to out of hour’s surgery to MSU unit admitting me to the care I received, was fantastic throughout until my discharge. There is not enough praise for all staff that cared for me. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Wonderful service from start to discharge for my child on ward 2c, the ward was extremely busy but care, hygiene, staff ( all staff), treatment and facilities excellent. I am in Social Care and always look for best practice, and wasn’t let down. The NHS service was faultless ....well done. Extra staff numbers always welcome.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I was sent to Surgical Assessment unit following an appointment at the out of hours GP. I found the staff on the ward to be very friendly and professional. The nurse who attended to me gave me time and made me feel at ease, explaining things carefully and thoroughly. This helped me to feel less anxious and much more comfortable as I waited on the ward for results. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I have just been discharged from the QEUH and I would like to commend all the nursing staff, consultants and doctors in the HDU 1 with the exceptional care and support and attention that I received during my recent hospital admission for surgery. Also I would like to commend the nursing staff, consultants and doctors in ENT with their excellent support, care and attention that they gave me also. They all do an amazing job and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was admitted to the hospital on Sunday 9th Sept with food poisoning after a holiday abroad .I would like to say the treatment I received during my 4 day stay was absolutely world class from everyone involved . Thank you all so much for your care x

Victoria Hospital (New) - I called NHS 24 this morning as I had a worrying lump that had formed, it was painful and I was worried. From speaking to the call handler to the Dr, then the staff at the hospital. I was treated with dignity and respect, I felt extremely well cared for and the whole episode took 3 hours from start to finish. A big heartfelt thanks you from me.

Gartnavel General - I had a very positive experience at the Centre for Integrative Care. My wellbeing has improved by being equipped with methods which will help me cope. The therapy I had has reduced my pain immensely and stopped me from taking morphine, I cannot praise the place enough, and it gave me hope where no other clinic has.

Stobhill Hospital (New) - I attended the Kerry-Jane Hogg Heart Unit outpatient clinic at Stobhill on 13th September. The care, information and specialist skills I received during my visit here were excellent. The staff were professional, kind and caring and the day I attended was particularly busy for them - despite this my care was not compromised and I felt reassured by the calm and confident way all the disciplines in this clinic were carrying out their duties. Thank you.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - My daughter was in ward 62 for knee surgery from Tues 11/9 until Thursday 13/9. From same day admissions dept, anaesthetics, recovery and the ward 62 staff we were met with kindness, respect and competence. From domestics, orthopaedic surgeon, nurses etc all a fantastic example of NHS values. One suggestion - please get ice machine in ward 62 fixed. Ice packs crucial part of recovery. Thanks.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I would like to thank Dr Zwizwai and nurse Ann who treated me this morning. They were fantastic- really funny and professional and put me at ease. We need more doctors and nurses like them! Thanks again.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Dr. Julie Brittenden made me feel at ease and answered any questions I had to my satisfaction. Her manner was excellent. Thank you.

Victoria Hospital (New) - I had an endoscopic nasal op yesterday with Mr Sheik and his team I don’t know how to thank you all enough. From the second I was admitted to the second I left. Attention to detail was amazing They all don’t do just a job They are really wonderful Thank you to all involved. And sorting my nose. Kind regards.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Excellent support from all staff I dealt with, from reception through to consultant. A credit to our NHS. People / Politicians who criticise, should be ashamed of themselves.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I came in recently with a suspected gastric band slip - the service I got from everyone - from A and E, radiology, both wards and the surgical team was outstanding. Please pass on my thanks.

Princess Royal Maternity - I write to acknowledge an exceptional individual that works for your service. I am due my second baby and have been for both 12 and 20 week scans. Both of these scans were carried out by a lady called Sam. I found her to be friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, approachable and passionate about her role. When I had my scans for my first baby I felt unable to ask questions, the sonographer was quite short tempered and not keen on any talking (maybe this was just concentration). I asked a lot of questions this time round, Sam took her time to explain what she was doing and why. I have not found this pregnancy as easy as the previous one but with health professionals like Sam it reassuring me that everything with baby is as it should be it makes it bearable. I will be due to go for growth scans in the coming weeks and hope that Sam (or a colleague with as nice a disposition) is available for these appointments!

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I have had a recent plastic surgery admission for major surgery. I found my care in ward 48 absolutely brilliant. The nurses work so hard and are so very patient focused. I just wanted to say thank you to the nurses on duty from wed 4.8.18 to 7.8.18 especially Rosemary on nightshift for my 3 night as an inpatient she was extremely conscienous and caring and made me feel safe!! Thank you to Mr. McGill and his team for brilliant surgery and making me feel safe and comfortable.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - My family and I would like to thank the staff in ward 6D at QEUH for the excellent care they gave my gran, particularly Dominic, Angela and Sinead. They kept her going with chatting to her and kept us as a family involved. Angela was also great in fighting for my gran when she was not ready for discharge and we appreciated this as my gran was not her usual self. Stephen who brought round her meals was great with her and accommodated her when she was wanting anything on the menu. This was less stress for my gran and very much appreciated. We can't thank all the staff enough including the staff in the ARU4. We couldn't ask for any better care for my gran. Thank you!

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Like to thank the staff in Ward 11 and theatre who was wonderful.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - my attendance at the fracture clinic was made much less daunting by the professional yet warm ministrations of the nursing and ancillary staff, including radiology. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Thank you to Dr Paterson in A&E at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. Caring kind professional and reassuring. The epitome of our NHS. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to thank Dr Barrett and his team for the diagnosis and treatment of a spine injury I had. His team, without exaggeration, have changed my life with the procedure I received. I cannot thank the team and staff enough from wards 65/66 for the fantastic way I was treated and looked after. Every member of staff I have encountered from diagnosis to treatment and recovery, were exceptional in both standards and friendliness. From the bottom of my heart I thank everyone involved for giving me a new lease of life, for which I will be eternally gratefully.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was admitted to ward 66 at 7:30am on 29th August for laser surgery to my mouth I was quickly shown into the ward and settled immediately. The admission process was very quick and all the nurses kept me informed of what was happening. Everyone of the nurses and staff on ward 66 were lovely, they were friendly and personable and I particularly liked when I was asked what more could they do to make my stay more comfortable.... nothing! Being friendly and kind was all it took! Keep up the great work x

Vale of Leven District General Hospital - I have just had a colonoscopy. This was something I have not experienced before so there was potential for anxiety. I have expressed my gratitude to staff in person but would like to register it more formally. From my admission at reception to meeting the consultant who carried out the procedure, all staff was exceptional. Having worked in care and being familiar with the SSSC codes of practice and National Care Standards I was so appreciative of being treated myself with dignity throughout. The nursing staff supported me in my choice to have the procedure without sedation and answered my questions in a non-patronising manner. The nurses helped me with managing the discomfort which I feel was minimised because of their support and effective communication throughout. They were so very good at reassuring me and encouraging me. The all female team, I have to say, for me as a woman put me at ease from the outset. The consultant approached the procedure with appropriate and wisely used lightness which kept me feeling relaxed throughout. She was at the same time completely professional. Her 'humanness' empathy and general way of being were a blessing. I just cannot speak highly enough of your staff. They made my outpatient experience an empowering and totally positive one!!Well done!!

Gartnavel General - I was a patient 7th August for a shoulder op under Mr Martin. The care I received from start to finish was second to none. The staffs in ward 2A were amazing, nothing was a trouble for them and it made my stay bearable. Please pass my thanks on.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Mr Wales and his team are outstanding and I owe them a huge debt of gratitude. Well done and thank you.

Glasgow N W, Podiatry - I have had to use podiatry at Maryhill Health Centre on three occasions. Firstly, getting an appointment is very easy- each time I've phoned up and had an appointment within a week that suits my working hours, which is just excellent. I have met 2 different podiatrists and I am so grateful for their knowledge, evident experience and their manner. They come across as happy in their work, polite, friendly and genuinely interested in their specialism. This instils trust for the patient. I feel the quality and standard of their work is exceptional, measured on experience of podiatry in other NHS and private services. Please can feedback be shared with them that their work is making a difference not only in terms of health and health promotion, but also in terms of representing public services as being to the highest standard. They are an asset to the NHS and the local community.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Received top class treatment for my wee unborn baby who was dying with feral hydrops! Thank you for saving her life! She is now starting playgroup! We would like to make a donation to the foetal medicine department where she was treated! How could we go about this?! We are from Northern Ireland!!

Victoria Hospital (New) - I had an appointment today in Orthopaedics with Mr Mansbridge. I thought the professionalism of all the staff was fantastic - Mr Mansbridge and all the staff I encountered at reception, during x-ray and in-between were very helpful and were caring and considerate to myself and others. With all that goes on in the news about the NHS, I was surprised by how good my experience was today. Well done New Victoria Hospital :)

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - I accompanied my wife who had an appointment @ 11.30am today at the Audiology Dept within IRH. My wife received a full examination / assessment and her old hearing aids were replaced with a new model. The person who dealt with her was Jacqueline Truss who was professional and extremely helpful. At a time of austerity & increasing demands on the NHS, it was reassuring that such an excellent service could be provided. Too often patients are quick to complain - hopefully this email will help to redress the balance. Thank you for a first class service. Please forward this email to the Audiology Dept to underline they are providing an excellent service to the people of Inverclyde.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I was an inpatient in Ward 50 then Ward 7 of GRI from 27 July to 4 August. The standard of care I received surpassed all my expectations. From the catering staff to the ward maids to the nurses, all were exceptional and as bright and efficient at the start of their shifts as at the end. The doctors were lovely, efficient, and so trendily dressed compared to when I last worked in a hospital 30 years ago. I can't think of a time when I have been more impressed with a hospital and its staff and grateful for the treatment I received. Please pass on my thanks to all.

Vale of Leven District General Hospital, Dermatology - Following my outpatient appointment today (4th Sept '18) I must highly commend the doctors, staff & receptionists at the unit for their very efficient & informative treatment. I was able to have my biopsy on the same day. I have had occasion to use the services at the Vale on a couple of occasions over the years and so this is a highly valued local service which must be retained for in the local area. Sincere Thanks

Glasgow Royal Infirmary – I can’t thank the staff - from cleaners, nurses, doctors, radiology staff and surgeons for all their hard work caring for me nothing was a bother to anyone felt like a VIP.
