East Renfrewshire, Community Adult Mental Health - I have had depression for many years and on occasion it spirals way out of control. Had it not been for my GP and excellent community psychiatric nurse who is also a team lead and their unswaying patience and understanding, I don't think I would be around to thank them. I had my death planned, but no-one to speak to about my thoughts. I'm quite secretive! If I could give them both an award, I would, but don't know how to. I hate going to doctors and any other medical practitioners, but my GP and CPN made everything a lot more easily and I'll be forever grateful whatever happens.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Respiratory - Wanted to say thank you so much for the excellent care and kindness my husband has experienced during his stay in Ward 7D.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Respiratory - Thank you to the amazing staff of Medical High Dependency who saved a close relatives life. As a family we are so thankful for the care they gave us all, they all deserve a medal for working so tirelessly hard

Glasgow Royal Infirmary, A & E, Plastic Surgery - My dad was brought to Glasgow by air ambulance from Glencoe earlier this evening following an accident when a camping stove exploded. Initially we were unsure where he was going so we were very anxious when arriving at A&E. We would like to pass on our praise and thanks to the following: 1 - the lad on reception at A&E (Sunday 29th may 7pm) who tried his absolute best to find out where air ambulance would be taking my dad and what was happening when we were completely in the dark. Thank you 2 - Alice from ward 45 (burns unit) who also assisted us in finding out where my dad would be. She found us somewhere to wait and made us tea and coffee whisky we waited to find out whether he would come straight to burns unit or via A&E. 3 - the staff in A&E who assessed my dad quickly and were very reassuring. They do such an amazing job in circumstances which are often difficult. They allowed us to be with my dad the whole time. Very often people find the time to complain. We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us tonight.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I had to attend the Queen Elizabeth as an urgent GP referral through the MAU. Having to talk to the back of the nurse's head in the MAU was annoying considering she was asking me questions with her back to me. Thankfully, I was quickly moved on to the DVT clinic where my treatment was incredible with polite cheerful staff and an extremely helpful and reassuring Senior Charge Nurse. His staffs obviously takes their lead from him and the clinic is friendly, efficient and the staff are knowledgeable which gave me lots of confidence that I was receiving the correct treatment. The Senior Charge Nurse went out of his way to ensure that I had my scan as soon as possible as I was in pain and feeling unwell. Thank you very much for the treatment I received and I really wish more departments had your work etiquette

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Had to visit A&E today after I sliced my finger. Short wait at reception but was soon through to a very kind male doctor & very helpful nurse. I was in & out within an hour. It's fantastic that you're able to run this efficiently given all the constraints you're no doubt working with. A first class act!

Royal Hospital for Children, A & E - Can you please pass on my thanks and apologies to all the medical staff involved in my daughter Lois Wards care. She was admitted between 01.30 and 02.00 on Monday 23rd May 2016 via ambulance to RHSC in Glasgow. My daughter very stupidly had been drinking alcohol and had passed out. She had hypothermia and also a head injury. I cannot praise and thank all the staff involved in her care highly enough. We were all treated with respect and compassion and she received the highest level of care. She would also like to pass on her sincere apologies for taking up the time and resources of staff and hospital due to her stupid and thoughtless behaviour in drinking alcohol under age and to excess. This will never happen again. Thank you to everyone involved. Louise, Mark and Lois Ward

Royal Alexandra Hospital - My treatment and in patient stay following a mastectomy were excellent in every way. My surgeon was informative and compassionate as was the breast care nurse and all ward staff during my stay. I could not have received better treatment anywhere and even the food was fine! Well done!

Gartnavel General - I would like to thank Paul one of the radiographers who was on duty today at Gartnavel General and who carried out my CT scan today. I had a pretty poor experience during my previous CT scan a few weeks previously at the new Victoria hospital. The staffs were fairly disinterested during this scan and could have done so much more to help ease nerves. However Paul today was really attentive and kind and provided a very quick and seamless procedure . Thanks Paul and the team. Please pass on my comments.

Vale of Leven District General Hospital - my name is Kevin Hayes, I would just like to say that although I was nervous today, all the staff at the ward made me feel very comfortable and they were extremely friendly, they made the whole appointment today go smoothly and the time seemed to fly by. Thank you again all the staff at the endoscopy department.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I had an operation in early November (apologies for the delay in providing feedback) plus some follow up appointments in December. I can never the staff enough for the treatment I received, in both the High Dependency Unit (HDU2) and the ward (11C). I am still moved to this day when I think of the professionalism & care I received at one of the lowest points of my life. I will never be able to thank all the staff sufficiently, but will forever grateful.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the staff in A&E stroke unit, ward 1C and ward 56 for the excellent treatment and care provided to my father from the time of his admission to his unfortunate passing a few days later. As a family, we were also given amazing support from all the staffs at what was a difficult time for us. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all the staff in those wards.

Vale of Leven District General Hospital - Having attended the Oncology unit at the Vale of Leven hospital for some months and still do I cannot praise all staff at the hospital enough for their care and attention. N.H.S Scotland at its best.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I would like to thank all staff, RAH Dental unit, in particular students and dental nurse involved in my treatment which ended recently. I really appreciate all the treatment I received and will continue to follow guidance given. Thank you once again

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I recently had surgery on my finger by a fantastic professor and cannot praise him and the entire staff of Glasgow Royal Infirmary highly enough. I have endured 2 years of excruciating pain and was told by other doctors that nothing could be done for me, however, I persisted and was referred to Mr Hart who has worked wonders and I feel like a completely different person. Thank you very much to him all the staff who made my stay so positive.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - My 14 year old daughter was in for surgery on her thumb under Consultant Mr Milner. Afterwards she was kept in for two nights on ward 47 and I was able to stay with her. ALL staff on the ward was fantastic and we received first class care. Everyone was friendly, helpful, caring and professional. Nothing was a problem and the staffs were very attentive. Unfortunately we live in a society of complaints and what can I get for me. I wanted to thank the staff and make management aware of the good work being done. My stressed and nervous daughter was put at ease and what was a hard time made easy due to her care. Thank you thank you thank you

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Urology - Staff on ward 11d is fantastic, very pleasant and caring. Couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic nurses. Thank you for the care you gave me

Royal Alexandra Hospital - Excellent medical and personal patient care. My baby and I were looked after by a caring and attentive team. Excellent maternity service.

New Victoria Hospital - I wanted to praise all the staff I came into contact with at The New Victoria Infirmary & the Southern General hospitals on Saturday 7th May 2016. I attended the Victoria A&E with my mother who was ill, by mistake; we should have gone to the Southern A&E. After advice at the Victoria we went to the Southern A&E. Staff at both hospitals could not have been more helpful and professional. Particular mention to a Dr at the Southern named Sheila, I didn't get her last name. She really put my mother at ease and answered all questions fully for both of us. Very pleased with how quickly my mum was seen at the A&E as recent press reports have been so negative. Well done to both hospitals for great service.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - My father was recently discharged from ward 9B after a 2 week admission. I visited him regularly and am a health care worker so appreciate the demands on the service. I have to say that without exception every member of staff was polite, professional and caring. I was very happy with the level of care my father received.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to express in writing my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff in ICU2 in the QEUH. My husband was admitted there this week and the care they showed both to him and us as a family was nothing short of outstanding. In particular, Dr Catriona MacNeil, Dr Gregor Imrie, nurse Angela Murphy, nurse in charge Aileen and student nurse Claire Ramage literally couldn't do enough to help my husband or us at what turned out to be a very tragic time. Although things didn't turn out the way any of us would have wanted, we will always be grateful for all of their efforts and compassion.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was discharged yesterday from Ward 9a after an overnight stay following surgery. Throughout my brief stay every staff member I met in the Same Day Admissions Unit, Imaging Department, theatre and the ward itself was courteous, caring and attentive. The w whole experience was gratifying

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Neurosciences - Thanks most sincerely to the staff of ward 68 (Neurology) at the Q.E.U.H. who cared for me during my 3 day stay for tests. The quality of my care was very good and Staff Nurse Lynne Beattie was particularly comforting and kind to me when I was struggling due to the low ebb I was at. I hope she and her colleagues get the praise they deserve.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Neurosciences - I can be a complainer when it comes to inadequate services within the NHS, especially considering my local hospital is the Vale of Leven Hospital which in my opinion is horrendous, the QEUH Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Ward 62 on the other hand I cannot fault! The treatment and care my daughter received was second to none, outstanding and extremely helpful and caring doctors, nurses and the auxiliary nurses, fantastic facilities (including parking) , fantastic surgical team, I cannot thank Mr Curry and his team enough, all in all an overwhelmingly brilliant experience for me as a parent and my young daughter as the patient.... They have restored my faith in the NHS. Thank you so much!!!

Stobhill Hospital (New), Women’s Health - I attended clinic F on the second floor on Tuesday 10th May 2016. I would like to say that the care I received from all of the staff present on that day was exceptional. From the friendly and informative greeting and instructions from the receptionist to the care delivered by both the nursing and medical staff on shift ensured my experience was a very positive one. I would like to thank my allocated nurse Pauline in particular as she went out of her way to ensure that I received all the necessary information for going forward. The care shown to me by all staff on this visit was impressive.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - I have recently received treatment for bilateral cataracts at Inverclyde Hospital. Both eyes were treated well within the waiting time guidelines and on both occasions I was offered and accepted cancellations at short notice. There was excellent communication with the waiting list co-ordinator. I was well looked after by nursing staff before and after surgery. I was given written and verbal instructions for after care and was called the next morning by a member of nursing. The surgery was completely successful. I have thanked staff personally but also wished to offer formal praise

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - My mum was referred to the Immediate Assessment Unit by her GP on Tuesday 10/05/16. The process was pretty long and my mum, who suffers from Alzheimer's, became very distressed and angry, not wanting to be there and not understanding why she was there. The senior charge nurse on duty was called Jennifer (sorry I can't remember her surname, it was PM on 10/05/16). She was really fantastic with mum, took het for a walk and distracted her enough to calm her down and get her to stay got her remaining tests. She also checked back in on us, and helped speed up the X-ray and CT process when we had a fairly long wait for a porter. All in all, she made what was a very stressful day for both my mum and dad much easier and was a credit to the hospital. I hope you can pass on my thanks.

Princess Royal Maternity - ward 56A was very clean and well organised. All staff without exception were welcoming and helpful both to patient on admission and post surgery through to discharge. Friendly and helpful when family visited, thank you to all who made this difficult time a pleasant experience.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I attend Dr Wykes Diabetic clinic at QEUH, he always has time to listen and explains clearly what is happening and in a very understanding and clear manner. His staff and other consultants in the clinic are also very supportive and caring. Not forgetting the reception staff at clinic , praise for their patience and cheery smiles.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I attended with my partner A&E on the 9 May between the hrs of 5am and when she was admitted to a ward approx 1.30. We can’t praise the staff highly enough for their care and attention I wish I could remember their names to thank them individually the 2 nurses were young not sure if one was Kirsten? the doctor was Jen but they were great and restored our belief in the NHS staff after a bad experience at a previous hospital several years ago

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Gastroenterology (Digestive system) - I have been admitted twice here in the last 3months and the standard of care I have received is outstanding!!The staff are out of this world from porters to nurses all friendly and welcoming...the rooms are amazing...and what a view of Glasgow!! One very happy patient!.

Drumchapel Hospital - Hi there, I just wanted to say thank you to all the nurses, reception staff and doctors at the Drumchapel Hospital, Glasgow!! Their incredible hospitality, warmth, compassion and professional attitude made me and my father feel very welcome and looked after! I wish everyone who needs a health service has this experience!!

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Dermatology (Skin) - I attended the Dermatology clinic last week for a minor procedure and just wanted to say that the clinic staff were lovely. I arrived early to make sure I could get a parking place and not only was I offered a drink but the staff made me feel at ease. Gill and Jackie were both professional and friendly. Thank you ladies.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Plastic Surgery - Praise for staff on Ward 47. Consistently warm, engaged and professional care. Nothing was too much trouble. Surgeon (Mr John Telfer) attentive, expert, and with a holistic approach that was much appreciated. Nurses pleasant, available and with a welcome touch of humour. Domestic staff friendly, with impressively high standard of work. Physiotherapists caring and thoughtful. I cannot praise these staff enough!

Glasgow N W - I attended Shawpark medical centre on Friday 6th May 2016 at 11:20am and saw a female doctor. I struggle with anxiety and OCD and am currently trying to access psychology but the wait time has been quite long. I went to the GP to see about digestive problems but also inquire about the wait time. She was extremely helpful and even called the psychologists to inquire herself and then called me back later on. Given the massive caseloads that GPs have, I thought this was above and beyond what she needed to do. I was thoroughly impressed with her manner and the service in general and think that this is a prime example of what fantastic doctors we have on the NHS. I think doctors receive complaints so frequently, I would really love for her and the practice to receive this positive feedback, although I know I cannot identify her or myself on here.

Royal Alexandra Hospital, Gastroenterology - My mother has just left ward 29 after two night stay found all staff very caring and helpful, thank you for looking after her so well

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - The care I received on ward Arran 11b and ward Bute 7c was second to none. ALL the staff was fantastic. Can't praise all the staff enough . Thanks for looking after me and getting me better . Robert Davis 0311586392

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, X - Ray, A & E - The staffs at A&E was fantastic when I fell and broke my wrist Very attentive friendly and funny was very impressed with them And thank them very much.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Women’s Health - I had an appointment in gynaecology this morning. I was seen very promptly and given the best possible care by all staff involved. I was put at ease for what was considered an unpleasant procedure however; great care was given throughout to make everything as comfortable as possible.

Gartnavel General, E N T - To thank the surgeon who operated on me today and the nursing staff who, from point of entry, were superb. The surgeon spent time explaining the procedure and risks involved and was professional courteous and thoughtful prior and during surgery. Nursing staff very patient focused and welcoming. They may not be working in a state of the art hospital, but their skills and professionalism could not be bettered. Thank you to Mr. Simpson’s team who confirmed that staff working in our NHS are first class. My grateful thanks to all. Sylvia McCulloch

Stobhill Hospital, Women’s Health - Just wanted to say a big thank you to the Nurse and her trainee for making a stressful and uncomfortable procedure bearable and for looking after me before, during and after, their care and kindness made a huge difference.
