South Glasgow University Hospital, Renal - Food could improve considerably very seldom got what was ordered. The staff on ward 4c. They can’t be praised enough for the care I received on admission, during, and after my kidney transplant on 20.6.15.
Southern General Hospital - Was seen in maternity assessment on 28/06/15. From the initial telephone call to the treatment I received from the midwife, could not have been better. I was made to feel at ease and reassured very quickly. Keep up the good work.
South Glasgow University Hospital, E N T - Thanks to nurses and doctor at 11A who helped my frail and nervous father after his nosebleed. Most reassuring.
South Glasgow University Hospital, General Surgery - All the staff dealt with from my pre op, to my recovery in my ward was very helpful.
South Glasgow University Hospital, Stroke - My Mother was admitted to the hospital on 26\06\15 after suffering a stroke. Due to the fast, professional and companionate treatment received from both the A&E and Acute Stroke Ward (1C). It looks like she may make a full recovery. Both I and my family will forever be indebted to you. A MILLION THANKS TO YOU will never be enough.
Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Plastic Surgery - I have been a patient in ward 47 room one for just over 2 weeks now and I would just like to say the senior nurse in charge Moira Crumley and her staff have been amazing and cannot be faulted. I have had a bad experience before being in the same hospital but can honestly say ward 47 staff are great and go out their way with their patient care. Thank you very much ward 47.
South Glasgow University Hospital, Neurosciences - Very busy ward but all staff including nurses, neurologists, cleaning staff etc were all amazing.... can’t fault any of them even though most of them were very busy, they were polite, emphatic and professional at all times. Thank you all.
Victoria Hospital, Dermatology - The staff were really helpful and where able to help me.
South Glasgow University Hospital, General Surgery - Thanks everyone, very friendly had no waiting time very impressed thanks to all staff.
Royal Alexandra Hospital, Stroke - Bernadette on ward 4 has given outstanding care to both my dad and our family. Her cheerful disposition and attention to details as we journey to the end has been wonderful. She deserves recognition as an outstanding member of your staff. We had a very different experience in other wards of this same hospital
South Glasgow University Hospital, Staff - My uncle was treated for the last few days of his life by the staff in ward 7C. They were amazing, especially considering the severe shortage of staff. They were very attentive, caring, always smiling and couldn't do enough for my uncle or indeed yourselves. I feel that there has been a lot of negativity recently regarding the new hospital, but I feel that it is also important to say thank you when staff are going above and beyond the call of duty.
South Glasgow University Hospital, Urology - I was admitted early on Mon the 15th for a prostrate template and had to be in by 7am, no one was at the front desk to advise me where to go, four colourered lads who I presume were night porters pointed me in the right direction, still unsure we sat there until 7.45 until the staff arrived, even although they were not supposed to start until 8.00am they quickly processed me and sent , me to the relevant lift where we had to queue up with about 20 other people to be admitted (again the staff opened early to let us in, met with the Anaesthetist, surgeon and went to theatre, staff were very helpful all the way , procedure done and was taken to ward 11, good sizes room with large on suite toilet, stayed overnight and discharged next day, staff on the ward very kind and helpful, all in all a very pleasant stay, must have more people on earlier to help people coming in at that time.
Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Baby or Child , Pregnancy - The midwife who helped deliver our daughter was amazing - so supportive and helpful, keeping us informed the whole way through of what the next steps would be and providing encouragement for the entire time. The midwifes in the ward after were all lovely, providing help and advice and tips for changing, bathing, feeding etc that increased our confidence for leaving the hospital.
Victoria Hospital, Reception - I attended the minor injury unit earlier. The boil on my bum was sore, lol still is, the girl on reception was very helpful the nurse was extremely helpful also. I told them at the time my doctor advised me to go to the small injury unit if I had any more problems. After leaving. I realised the girls were right. He meant A&E I made an error (went sober) lol thank the girls for doing a very difficult job. Use this on any medium you like to let everyone know how the staff work in every hospital.
South Glasgow University Hospital, A & E - Had a very positive experience of the children's A&E this evening. Staff were incredibly helpful and patient; the Dr took lots of time to put my scared 3year old son at ease, and even "fixed" his Spiderman first to show him what she was going to do. We were seen within 20 minutes and cannot fault the service at all. Please pass on my huge thanks to the wonderful staff.
Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, X – Ray - I have been attending radiotherapy in the Tom Weldon building and would like to pass on my very grateful thanks to everyone, from the receptionists, nurse specialist and radiographers, for the way I have been treated, with respect, kindness and patience. They all made my journey so much easier and they all deserve to be highly praised and I do hope this is passed on as we normally only hear and read the bad reports. Thank you all.
Royal Alexandra Hospital, General Surgery - I attended the Royal Alexandra Hospital breast clinic today 18th June. Although a nerve wracking experience attending for an appointment when you have a health worry, the staff were absolutely lovely, from the nursing assistants taking you into the clinic to the consultant (or doctor, I was too nervous to notice!) that I saw, to the radiographer in x-ray. They all put me totally at my ease, explaining everything I needed to know. Thank to them all.
Inverclyde Royal Hospital, X - Ray, A & E, Rheumatology (Joints / Bones), and Physiotherapy - I recently had a fall which resulted in a broken left ankle and a broken right foot. An ambulance took me to IRH and the Crew looked after me and took me to the casualty dept. At casualty I was looked at, sent for X-rays and then both feet put in casts. I was admitted to K North under Mr Broadbent. The ward sister Theresa put me in a room and very much at ease. I was in from Fri evening until Wed the 17th. I have nothing but praise for all the staff on the ward including Breege, Stacey, Emily, Kenny, Kirsty and many others! They all work so hard. The nursing staff, Physio team, Emma in Occupational Health, the porters, the catering staff (I enjoyed my meals) the ambulance Crew who took me home! I could go on & on! There is so much negative press that I feel strongly about giving positive feedback! Thank you one and all!
The Glasgow N E, Physiotherapy - PMC/BSL mediator when went to book an appointment for physio at Springburn HC the reception asked if need an interpreter but physio can sign a bit and easy to lip-read so not need one. Staff there Deaf aware good
Victoria Hospital (New), General Surgery - Amazing care from "Day Surgery Unit" at the Victoria Infirmary ACAD. From front desk reception on the day , courteous manner towards my son (patient) and I , amazing "team ethos" from Ortho consultant surgeon along with all the staff members in the Unit. Exceedingly clean surroundings, excellent communication re the surgery and after care and generally friendly caring manner displayed by all team members in the unit at all times. Positive experience for us as a family unit.
Stobhill Hospital ( New )X - Ray , General Surgery - Care was great at surgical outpatient clinic, I was well informed about the mammogram procedure being carried out by radiography staff, the medical member of staff was excellent, caring compassionate and again informative and listening. The nursing staff were professional and polite and put me at ease thank you.
Royal Alexandra Hospital, Scan, and Stroke - I accompanied my husband on 15/6/15 to the TIA clinic, then to CT and Ultrasound. He was extremely nervous and uptight and was dealt with extremely professionally and compassionately by everyone we encountered. Thank you so much. Western Infirmary, General Surgery - Thanks to Miss Doughty's secretary (sorry I don't know her name) who was so helpful to-day when I called to request an appointment. It is much appreciated. It makes a huge difference to a person's well being.
Gartnavel General, Scan, X – Ray - Would just like to offer some praise for the X-ray receptionist, Carol, who has saved us a lot of time and hassle today. My father in law had an appointment for an ultrasound this afternoon at Stobhill. When we checked in today for a separate X-ray appointment she noticed the ultrasound appt on her screen and arranged to have the scan carried out right away at Gartnavel. This has saved us a huge amount of hassle and stress, and is greatly appreciated. Brilliant service from top quality staff. Thanks!
Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Yorkhill), Oncology (Cancer) - Huge thanks to the boy who worked on reception at the Tuesday am outpatient’s haematology clinic Yorkhill for the past few months. Very very helpful and great with parents and children.
Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Yorkhill), Baby or Child - I cannot thank the staff at this hospital enough the nurses, Dr's and surgeons are absolute Angels they honestly do not get enough credit for the job they do and they genuinely care unlike other hospitals (Wishaw General who told me there was nothing wrong with my baby and sent me home) within the week my son was diagnosed had his surgery and home safe and sound, he received the best of care whilst in there. I am forever grateful to the nurses in ward 4B the world needs more of these beautiful people. x
