Patient and Carer Experience Public Partners

Here at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, we are committed to putting patients and carers at the heart of everything we do. As part of this we are recruiting volunteer Public Partners to participate on our Patient and Carer Experience Groups.

At our Patient and Carer Experience meetings, Public Partners will have an active role, helping us make sure that the views and experiences of our patients, carers and families informs both the way that we work and the quality of that work.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have recent and relevant experience of our hospitals (within the last two years) through personal use or by supporting someone close to them
  • Are enthusiastic about improving their NHS and willing to share their experience to do this
  • Are focused on doing the right thing and able to look at things with an open mind considering what would be best for all patients and carers
  • Are willing to work in partnership with the managers and multidisciplinary staff who deliver care within our hospitals
  • Are confident enough to speak and contribute in group discussions and influence planning and decision making
  • Are not currently in a situation or position that could create a conflict of interest e.g. ongoing legal proceedings related to a complaint

In return we will provide training and support, including reimbursement of out of pocket expenses. However, most of all we will aim to provide a fulfilling and enjoyable experience whilst working with us to improve the quality of care that we provide.
