All staff who work within NHS GGC must demonstrate their commitment to maintain their ongoing personal and professional development.
Part of this responsibility means complying with statutory and mandatory training requirements.
Statutory has been defined as training and education that is prescribed or authorised by a statue of law and it is compulsory for employees to comply with identified topics.
Mandatory has been defined as training that NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has identified for all employees as a requirement to support the safe delivery of services and for the safety and well-being of individual members of staff and patients. Mandatory training has been deemed compulsory by the organisation and is generally underpinned by statutory law, legislation, national guidance and recommendations. It is compulsory for staff to undertake training with the identified topics.
