NHSGGC Care Assurance Improvement Resource (CAIR)

NHSGGC Care Assurance Improvement Resource (CAIR) is an electronic data capturing resource that brings together a number of measures to support Care Assurance and Excellence in Care (EiC) programmes. CAIR is a dashboard that is hosted on micro-strategy and is currently under development with the involvement of e-health, Governance and regulation, and clinical stakeholders.

The Associate Chief Nurse for EiC and e-health lead nurse are working with e-health to ensure that CAIR provides a meaningful representation of the quality of care within the clinical areas. Furthermore they are working on a project trajectory ensure this resource is implemented in every in-patient clinical area.

Assurance for the quality of care delivered will be evidenced in two ways, firstly by the utilisation of the Combined Care Assurance Audit Tool (CCAAT)  for local and corporate assurance visits. Secondly by local, sector and strategic view to Care Assurance Improvement Resource (CAIR) Dashboard

A number of quality indicators are currently live, with others being introduced in the near future.
