What if I am worried about a colleague?

In the first instance we would ask you to talk to them. It has been shown that peer to peer support such as checking in with each other can be extremely beneficial to the staff member who is struggling. Make sure that they are aware of the support available to them including the local Staff Support helpline (0141 277 7623and this mental health check in. If you are worried that your colleague is at risk of harm, then we advise you to speak to your supervisor and /or manager as well as to the staff member themselves.
