Blood Borne Virus Training

Face to Face

The NHSGGC Blood Borne Virus Training Team deliver a one day face to face Blood Borne Virus Training (BBV). This session is a basic starter or refresher aimed at participants who wish to increase their knowledge of Blood Borne Viruses and Sexual Health including current diagnosis and treatment pathways.

Current BBV training dates and venues are available on Staffnet (please remember you'll need to log on to the NHSGGC network to access this) or Sandyford website.

  • Introduction to Blood Borne Viruses.
  • Management of Occupational and Non-Occupational exposure to Blood Borne Viruses including needle stick injuries and sexual exposure.
