Antipsychotic drugs

Antipsychotic drugs are those in BNF sections 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.

• Patients on these require annual FBC, U&Es, LFTs, fasting glucose/lipis, prolactin.

• Patients on haloperidol, pimozide, thioridazine require an annual ECG.

• Patients on thioridazine should be reviewed by a learning disabilities psychiatrist regarding withdrawal of the drug, if not already done.
