Anne-Marie Monaghan MA became a Non-Executive member of the NHS Board on 1st July 2016.
Anne-Marie originally trained as a Community Education Worker and has over 30 years experience of working in the voluntary sector in both youth and community development projects before working in the public sector in community care.
She held a range of senior posts with significant financial, governance, operational and strategic responsibilities demonstrating, in particular, effective skills in commissioning, service redesign and the development of innovative practice.
She led the initial development of self-directed support in the largest of the three Scottish Government National Test Sites and was a member of the National Implementation Group.
She brings to the Board her significant experience of social work delivery with skills in learning disability, policy, community engagement and of working in the context of health and social care integration. She has a positive track record of managing change and of developing partnership working.
