A new survey is launching to help generate patient and carer feedback to inform and shape GP Out of Hours services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Any patient who accesses the service over the next two weeks is being contacted by text message from Monday 28 June to fill out the short questionnaire.

The work forms part of a feedback campaign to help ensure GP Out of Hours services operates effectively and that teams are able to listen and learn about patient experiences to see what is being done well and where there may be room for improvement.
Over the past 12 month, the GP Out of Hours service has undergone significant changes, with patients now offered telephone and virtual consultations alongside face-to-face appointments to see GPs outside of normal working hours.
It is hoped that the model will create a long-term, robust and sustainable out of hours model which meets the needs of patients now, and in the future.
Susan Manion, interim chief officer for GP Out of Hours Services said: “GP Out of Hours has undergone significant change since the start of the pandemic, and as we move into recovery, we want to ensure we’re able to track feedback from the people who use the service to help inform and shape our offering going forward.”
“We’d encourage anyone who receives a text message or who has used the service recently to complete the survey, as we value hearing from our patients and these questionnaires provide extremely valuable insight as to what we’re doing well, but also what we could improve.”
The questionnaire closes on Sunday, 18 July.
