Thursday, May 16, 2019

A group of students from Caledonian University have provided bags of essentials to the Royal Hospital for Children (RHC).

The bags contain female and male toiletries include deodorant, wipes, body wash, brush and female hygiene products

The ‘emergency bags’ are for parents who have brought their child into the RHC only to be told their child is being admitted and they have come without any essential items.

Angela Watson, Support and Information Officer, said:  “Providing these toiletry bags to parents or carer who have come to the hospital with their only to be told the child is being admitted have no provision for overnight essentials.

“We are extremely grateful to the students for the providing these emergency bags which parents will really appreciate when they have not brought anything into hospital with them.”
