Scotland's largest Health Board, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, is attending a number of recruitment events to kick start its apprenticeship programme.
We will shortly begin the process of recruiting 75 new apprentices to a range of full time roles in administration, engineering, healthcare sciences, which includes audiology and laboratory medicine, and health care support roles based in hospitals and in the community. You can find more details at www.nhsggc.org.uk/MA
We will be providing information at the Skills Scotland event at the SECC on 26th October between 5.00 and 7.00pm to meet parents, carers and those unable to attend the day time session on the 27th October between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm, Hall 3 Stand 62.
Laura McKie, Workforce Employability Lead for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said: “This is a great opportunity to meet some current and former apprentices to find out what it’s really like to be an NHS GGC Modern Apprentice and what an NHS GGC Apprenticeship can offer you.
“We believe that our apprenticeship opportunities offer young people an outstanding start to their working life.
“We offer nationally recognised qualifications up to HNC level or equivalent (SCQF Level 7), paid work experience and on-the-job training from day one.
“Our trainees start on a minimum salary of £16,000 per year and have access to all the benefits available to NHS Staff. This includes 27 days paid annual leave, 8 paid public holidays per year and enrolment in the NHS Pension Scheme.”
