Engagement opens on proposed changes to services at the Centre for Integrative Care

Thursday, September 8, 2016

Patients, families, carers and interested groups are being encouraged to take part in the engagement process shaping the future of services at the Centre for Integrative Care (CIC).

The proposal is to reconfigure the CIC to deliver an ambulatory care service providing the full range of current service on an outpatient and day case basis, but no longer providing overnight accommodation.

To shape the board’s proposals a dedicated Patient Experience, Public Involvement project manager will lead the engagement with patients, carers, members of the public and wider communities with an interest in the proposal.

A Stakeholder Reference Group, made up of representatives from patient and carer groups and organisations is being established. There will also be a Patient’s Panel specifically for the patients who currently use the CIC to feed back patient views on the engagement process to the wider Stakeholder Reference Group.

Catriona Renfrew, director of Planning and Policy, NHSGGC, said: “The engagement process is now open and I would encourage patients, carers and the public to share their views on what the board is proposing.

“Information on the proposal and ways in which people can engage with us can be viewed at or people can send us their views by emailing [email protected].”
