Research Director Honoured With National Award

The Special Recognition award of the prestigious Scottish Enterprise Life Sciences Awards 2014 has been presented to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s (NHSGGC) Medical Director for Research and Development, Chris Packard.

Chris was presented with the Special Recognition award for his work in demonstrating the benefits that the life sciences sector can bring to Scotland.

Chris currently leads the Research and Development team based at the Western Infirmary. He also serves on a number of national committees, is a key member of the Life Sciences Advisory Board (LiSAB) and has been crucial in helping to transform the relationship the industry has with the NHS.

After receiving the award at a ceremony in Edinburgh last night Chris said:  "I am honoured and delighted to received this award, not only for myself but for the extended team who have worked to built those close relationships."
