Kind hearted building contractors at the new Vale of Leven Centre for Health and Care presented two cheques to staff at the Vale of Leven Hospital following a Christmas raffle.
Laing O’Rourke, the main building contractor of the new health centre, held a Christmas raffle for their staff and the proceeds are being split between Wards 14 and 15 at the hospital.
Each ward received a cheque for £753 giving a total donation by Laing O’Rourke of £1,506.
Sister Laura Gargaro, Ward 14, the Vale of Leven Hospital said: “We are extremely grateful for any donations to the ward. Any monies given to the ward are used to enhance a patient’s stay and this money will be used for that purpose.”
Julie Hendry, Quanity Surveyor, Laing O’Rourke, added: “It’s important to us that we support the local community wherever we work – it’s great to know that, with the kind donations and support of our project team and supply chain, we’ve been able to make a difference to the elderly care wards at the hospital.”
