Brian Moore will take the role of Director of Inverclyde CHCP following the retirement of the current Director, Robert Murphy, at the end of May.
Brian joins the CHCP at the beginning of June and comes to the post with a wealth of experience. He is currently Head of Community Care and Health for the joint CHCP and prior to joining Inverclyde CHCP held a number of senior manager positions with South Lanarkshire Council Social Work Resources.
Brian has a particular interest in commissioning support and collaborative and partnership working with the independent and voluntary sector. He is looking forward to the challenges his new role will bring.
He said: “I am delighted to have been offered this appointment and am looking forward to the challenge of building on the existing strengths’ of Inverclyde CHCP, further developing integrated working between health and social care and delivering improved outcomes for all individuals that Inverclyde CHCP work with and support.”
Robert Calderwood, Chief Executive, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde added: “Brian is an excellent appointee to this post. He is very well placed, thanks to his already long service and experience in managing social work services, to drive forward our joint vision for thoroughly integrated health and social care services in Inverclyde.
