There are no new cases of Legionnaires’ disease in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde or NHS Lanarkshire.

Since the last update (18 May), four people remain in hospital but are no longer being treated for Legionnaires’ disease.  Two others have recovered and are at home.

Three of the nine cases investigated in the outbreak died.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde public health protection unit (PHPU) continues to work closely with colleagues from NHS Lanarkshire PHPU, Health Protection Scotland (HPS), the Health and Safety Executive, environmental health officers and other partner agencies to investigate all possible sources for the disease.
