The multi-award winning New Stobhill Hospital has been recognised yet again in a prestigious national competition.
The state-of-the-art facility has been commended in this year’s Civic Trust Awards’ medical and health service category.
In the words of the judges New Stobhill was described as “an exemplar hospital project which aims to contribute to the overall quality of the environment for patients, visitors and staff whilst making connections with the cultural life and regeneration of the city.”
The judges added: “It delivers creative responses to social, economic and technical sustainability, flexibility and adaptability whilst successfully demonstrates how inclusive design can be integrated into a building from design stage.”
Margaret Campbell, Commissioning Manger for the New Stobhill, said: “The hospital really speaks for itself and everyone involved in the design, construction and commission teams are delighted that once more the New Stobhill has received yet another accolade.”
Last year the New Stobhill Hospital scooped the “Building Better Healthcare” and Roses Grand Prix awards, the latter for the best new building outside London and Prix de la Prix, plus also lifting the top award in the Healthcare Category of the Glasgow Institute of Architects’ Annual Design Awards.
