NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will open a brand new sexual, emotional and reproductive health service for the people of Renfrewshire at the Russell Institute on Monday, July 7th.
The new Hub, named the Sandyford Renfrewshire is part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Sandyford service that provides sexual, reproductive and emotional health and will offer sexual health services in the heart of Paisley town centre.
It will provide an expanded range of services and will be fully supported by enhanced clinics at Renfrew and Johnstone that will offer expanded family planning and sexual health care. These clinics will not only offer additional services but will have longer opening hours allowing more local people, both men and women to access services.
Erskine’s clinic will be developed as a sexual health service for young people and the clinic in Ferguslie would continue to operate as it currently does.
Fiona MacKay, Head of Planning and Health Improvement for Renfrewshire CHP said "Renfrewshire CHP's Committee has been fully supportive in the development of local sexual health services and was a priority for us and our partners in Renfrewshire Council
“This new Hub has been developed following extensive consultation with local people and will mean better services and improved sexual health information for Paisley residents."
This new hub, the seventh in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, will provide an expanded range of treatment, testing, counselling and care.
