As part of our plans to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the NHS we’re also doing our bit for the environment by producing 10,000 eco-friendly shopping bags!
The stylish bags have been launched by Radio Clyde DJ Gina McKie and Dr David Stoddart, a Consultant in Emergency Medicine based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, and also a member of Scotland’s new ‘flying doctor’ service.
Bearing the slogan “Bag Better Health”, the bags will be sold at WRVS shops throughout NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, for a price of just £1, and all proceeds are going towards charitable funds at local hospitals.
Stephen Craig, WRVS Regional Manager, said: “The WRVS is delighted to take part in the NHS 60th Anniversary
WRVS shops are based within the following hospitals – Gartnavel General, Inverclyde Royal, Royal Alexandra, Stobhill, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, the Victoria, Southern General and Vale of Leven.
