Children in West Dunbartonshire will be smiles better thanks to an oral health scheme.
West Dunbartonshire Community Health Partnership (CHP) are organising two informal information sessions and inviting parent representatives from each local parent/toddler group to come along to discuss oral health and nutrition issues for their children.
The aim is to promote good oral health for children under five and parents and carers from each group will be presented with a box of children’s resources to support the programme afterwards at their own group
Cindy Murray, a Health Visitor with the CHP, said: “The emphasis of the day is on fun and taking part in what will be a worthwhile and informative activity for the parent and toddler groups.
“This should help parents to promote oral health within their group in the way they feel best that suits their local needs.”
Dalmuir Community Education Centre will host the first event today with the second event tomorrow at The Dumbuck Hotel, Dumbarton.
Both events will start at 9.15 am and finish at 1pm. Crèche facilities for the children will be provided and lunch and refreshments for parents are also included.
