Plans for a brand new health centre in Barrhead will go on show this week.
For architects will be displaying their drawings and be on hand to explain the detail to local residents for the £18m health and social care centre.
The plans will be on show at Barrhead Council Offices on Wednesday 9 January 2008 from 3 – 7pm.
East Renfrewshire’s community health and care partnership convener, Councillor Douglas Yates said: “The plans for the new centre that will replace the existing health centre and provide a place in the heart of the town for our local social care services.
“The architects will be available for local people to explain the detail of what they are proposing for the site that will see the old Carlibar primary school demolished.
“The plans will go forward to the planning service at the end of this month and this is a chance for people to have a say before then.
“I would urge as many residents to visit and see what we’re planning to build a healthier and better Barrhead."
