NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Update Statement on Diarrhoea and Vomiting

November 02, 2007 3:56 PM

Only one ward at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is still not admitting new patients due to diarrhoea and vomiting.
Four patients and one member of staff remain symptomatic but none are giving any cause for concern as a result of the infection.
Professor John Coia, Infection Control Doctor said: “The relevant control measures put in place by infection control staff have limited the spread of the infection and ensured the number of patients and staff infected was kept to a minimum.”
