Four wards at the Victoria Infirmary and two wards at the Mansionhouse Unit are not admitting new patients due to the winter vomiting virus.
Nineteen patients and five staff are currently showing symptoms.None are giving cause for concern.
Wards routinely do not admit new patients as a precautionary measure when three or more patients display symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting. The normal extra infection control precautions have been put in place.
Dr Syed Ahmed, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, NHS Greater Glasgow, said "This is not unusual for this time of the year.
"Wards are not admitting new patients as a precautionary measure and we are working closely with the Hospital Infection Control Team to monitor the situation."
