John Hartson visits Beatson Cancer Charity
Ex-Celtic and Wales international footballer John Hartson, visited Beatson Cancer Charity.
Through his foundation, John donated an incredible £20,000 to the charity and came to present the cheque in person on Monday 18th February.
At our offices, he took part in interviews with sports journalists and carried out a live Sky News interview, talking about why he was visiting the charity and also football.
He then went over to our Wellbeing Centre, where our Patient & Family Support Manager Claire Bradley gave him a tour.
Following that he took part in a Q&A session with patients in the lounge.
John spoke individually with patients, answered questions, signed various items and posed for photos. He had time for everyone and left the patients very happy.
He also met with interim Chief Executive Alison McGregor and Board Member Alan Kilpatrick, who thanked him on behalf of the charity for his donation.
Beatson Charity look forward to welcoming John back in the future.
