Our Digital Future:  Wednesday 10 November

Do you want to be involved in shaping NHSGGC's Digital strategy?  Are you a health and care professional working in NHSGGC who has an interest in eHealth?  Then sign up for our annual event or one of the workshops.

This year's main event will focus on our Digital Future, reflecting on the achievements over the past year and update you on the major programmes underway.

Digital Note-taking: where we are and where should we be going?
Much of our organisation, especially the Acute Sector and especially inpatients are still recording their notes mostly on paper. There are cultural and technical challenges to moving to digital note-taking but the benefits could be huge in terms of legibility, safety, audit, and secondary use of data e.g. AI. We will look at some present and future note-taking options and discuss what barriers we need to overcome to get to that future.

Major eHealth Roll-Outs – What can we learn from HEPMA?
HEPMA is one of the biggest IT projects we’ve ever had, and is also one of the biggest HEPMA roll-outs in the UK and probably Europe. So far, despite the challenges of rolling-out during a pandemic, the implementation seems to have gone quite well and feedback has been positive from users. What can we learn from the HEPMA rollout so far? What has worked well, and what can we improve?
