Patient Information

What to do if you need health care during COP26
If you are unwell, you should contact your GP as normal and, out of hours, if you require non-life threatening, but urgent health care please dial 111 and speak with NHS 24, who will be able to assist you. In an emergency, always dial 999.

Hospital impact:
As the host city for COP26, Glasgow is likely to be busier than usual in the run up to and during the conference (mid-October to mid-November) so please only attend ED (A&E) if absolutely necessary. If you are attending a hospital, please ensure all COVID-19 protocols continue to be followed.

For information on road closures visit the Transport Scotland website by clicking here.

Service impact:
It is anticipated that our NHS services will continue to operate as normal. If you require healthcare and your condition is not life-threatening, please contact your GP, or call NHS 24 on 111 to avoided longer waiting times.
