Trainee Dental Nurses (Modern Apprenticeship)

What are you recruiting for?

We are recruiting for six Trainee Dental Nurses (Modern Apprenticeship)

You will be awarded a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 in Dental Nursing and a Professional Development Award (PDA) Level 7 in Dental Nursing.

On completion you will be required to register as a Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council.

As well as studying for your SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing, you will be expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Trainee Dental Nurse.

Who is this Training Programme suitable for?

This is an entry level position suitable for someone willing to learn and develop within the role. As well as meeting the educational requirements you will need to be enthusiastic with good manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination with excellent attention to detail, good communication and a strong team work ethic.

A key function of this role  ensure this equipment is safe for use on patients and for staff to handle. For this you will need a strong sense of responsibility and meticulous attention to detail, even under pressure.

A good trainee dental nurse is a sympathetic with a caring understanding approach.  As you will be dealing with patients who are frequently nervous and worried, it is easier to reassure patients if you have an empathic and confident manner.
