WestMARC 'Raises the Bar' with ISO13485

Following the assessment in February, BSI has advised that WestMARC has been successful in achieving accreditation to ISO13485. This international standard specifies the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) which is geared towards the design, development, production, installation and servicing of medical devices.

For WestMARC, this includes wheelchairs, spares, special seating and prosthetics as well as the provision of the related clinical and support services.
Achievement of this coveted registration provides the reassurance - by means of an independently audited demonstration - to users and carers that WestMARC complies with an appropriate standard of service delivery.

WestMARC Open Golf Day

24 intrepid golfers competed in the hotly contested annual WestMARC Open Golf day between prosthetic patients and staff at Westerwood G.C. on Sunday 11th August.
After a most entertaining day, which was greatly enjoyed by all present, the ‘spoils of victory’ were shared and the various prizes were awarded as follows:

• Patients v StaffWestMARC Staff claimed their revenge for last year (Thanks mainly to the ‘ringers’ in the team!)
