Throughout the day our trainees and staff will be on hand to show you around our new polytunnels and answer any questions you may have.

Horticulture is available Monday to Friday every week and runs all year round. If you have anyone who is interested in learning more about gardening please bring them along...

Branching Out is run by the Forestry Commission and is renowned for its benefits to those who take part in the various activities. we occasionally have a 12 week group running and its a great course to take part in as you will be taught by experts and be shown a lot of new skills and be given numerous learning opportunities. Plant identification, Plant uses and Plants to Graze on are some of the things you will cover

Branching Out involves the John Muir Award, the Forestry Commission and the NHSGGC in a joint group 




We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that all activities are available to clients who attend Community Mental Health Teams

There will be singing & Music performed by our music group throughout the day. the creative writing group who recently performed at the " Aye Write " festival will be sharing some of their writing at 10.30am

Restart also have training available in Catering, Computing, Digital Camera, Gardening, Picture Framing, Stained Glass and Woodwork.

Something to think on "The only way you learn is by trying it"; so give it a try, its free, we are all friendly and we all want to help you.



We have installed 2 Poly-Tunnels at our horticulture site within Alexandra Park in Dennistoun, Glasgow; this will let our trainees work under cover and in the dry if the weather is not so good and it will bring on our plants with the extra heat and protection offered. (25/04/2016)   


We are using the Thursday and Friday woodwork training days to allow our more able woodworking trainees to carry out some different woodworking projects. only those who have the necessary woodworking skills will move onto this group. 

Educational Group

The first Meeting is being held at in Broad Street on Tuesday the 3rd of May 2016. We are setting up an educational outing group to run from Broad Street. this group will have few indoor sessions in arranging a trip out in our mini bus to a pre agreed and selected location. the dates for our first two outings are the 13th and 27th of May 2016.

The actual day trip and then a short feedback session. for further information contact Willie McGrath at 0141 945 5182 or Aille McGinty at 0141 551 5047. lets all join in and have an adventure or two for our memories.spaces are limited to 9 people on an outing day.

Woman's Group

Our Woman's Group at Restart runs on a Wednesday morning from until 12.noon. At the present time it's based at Broad Street in Bridgeton. The women's group engages in a wide variety of activity's some of which are out with Broad Street. some events may also be all day events but you will have the free choice to attend or not to attend at these arranged events.
