The Community Paediatric Physiotherapy services offers triage, assessment and treatment for children from 0-18 years with a wide range of conditions. These include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, co-ordination difficulties after injuries and many more. The service is delivered into child development centres, special schools, mainstream schools and nurseries as well as in the child’s home. The service offers regular advice, treatment programmes and therapy.
Referrals are accepted from all Allied Health Professionals which include Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists etc as well as GPs and other medical personnel including Specialist Health Visitors within the CDCs.
