For Patients and Relatives involved with the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (BWoSCC) we have provided information on 3 key areas:
'We provide Groups Support, Talking and Complementary Therapies for anyone affected by cancer, including the person who has been diagnosed, their relatives, friends and carers.'
Glasgow is served by two centres: Maggie's Glasgow Gartnavel, at Gartnavel Hospital, and Maggie's Glasgow Gatehouse, at the Western Infirmary.
Maggie’s provides emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends. All our services are free and you don’t need an appointment or a referral – you can just pop in for a cup of tea.
If you're affected by cancer you may want to know there's someone you can turn to for help. Someone who can help find answers to your questions, whatever they may be.
If you want to find information, support and practical help or would just like someone to talk to, come along to one of our Macmillan Information and Support Services. You can talk through issues and concerns with our staff and trained volunteers.
Are you a patient, relative or friend or anyone affected by cancer? We are based in three Renfrewshire libraries and we provide free information and support services for anyone affected by cancer. You may have cancer yourself, care for a relative or friend, work as a health professional or simply want to know more about cancer.
The West Dunbartonshire Macmillan Carers Services provide care to clients at any stage of their cancer journey. We aim to deliver a flexible service, throughout the West Dunbartonshire Council Area, by offering a range of practical, emotional and social supports that is tailored to our client’s needs.
If you are interested in volunteering with the service then please contact 01389 608188 for more details.
