Bone / Mineral Metabolism Clinics

osteoporsis border= Provide assessment of patients at risk of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone disease referred by GPs & secondary care clinicians – where these patients are not suitable for the other osteoporosis services that are provided (FLS / FLSradiology / DADS / SCDS). Patients with particularly severe or complex osteoporosis who are identified via FLS / DADS are referred automatically to the Bone / Mineral Metabolism Clinics for further assessment.

Currently Bone / Mineral Metabolism Clinics are available in GG&C at the Royal Infirmary, Southern General Hospital, Stobhill Hospital & the Western Infirmary. Times of these clinics and key staff involved are listed in the following table.

Patients from the Clyde Division who are processed via DADS and FLS and who require clinic assessment will be assessed at the Southern General Mineral Metabolismm Clinic until further notice.
