Revised Vacancy Request Form (from July 2018)

The revised Vacancy Request Form is not a new form – it has been extended to include additional sections

  • Section D: Business Case Justification and Evidence of request to hire
  • Authorisations including Finance Lead and Director / Chief Officers

The revised Vacancy Request Form must be used for all request to recruit from July 2018

 

The Vacancy Request Form must be completed in full, in order to ensure vacancies progress timely through the vacancy control stages.  It should be noted:

  • All posts New or Replacement must have Finance Lead approval documented on the relevant section of the Vacancy Request form. Posts submitted to the Recruitment Service without appropriate finance approval will be returned to the Hiring Manager to rectify and obtain appropriate finance approval.
  • Posts Band 8A and above: All Band 8A and above posts must be submitted for approval via the revised Vacancy Request Form. Section D must be completed in full to ensure the vacancy request progresses to the relevant approval route.  All posts requiring Chief Executive approval must, in the first instance, be submitted to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development who will coordinate for Chief Executive approval via a direct e-mail address which can be used immediately - [email protected]
