New to a supervisory or management role?

Foundation Programme for New Managers and Supervisors

Whether you are new to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, or a current member of staff who is taking up a management or supervisory role, you will find this programme to be a valuable part of your induction. Attendance should be discussed with your line manager as part of your overall induction plan.

The programme will introduce and outline your key responsibilities, as a new manager or supervisor, to the organisation regarding,

  • Health and Safety
  • Staff Governance
  • Information Governance
  • Financial Governance
  • Inequalities Sensitive Practice
  • Working in Partnership

Information will also be provided regarding, Clinical Governance, Financial Governance, SSTS, Staff Health and Wellbeing, Occupational Health.

In addition the programme will,

  • encourage networking opportunities
  • explicitly signpost additional management development provision
  • encourage ongoing personal development
