Primary Care out of hours service

TOO ILL TO WAIT UNTIL YOUR GP SURGERY IS OPEN?

When your GP surgery is closed, and you’re too ill to wait until it re-opens, you should contact the GP Out-of-Hours Service by calling NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24.

When you call NHS24, you will be put through to a health professional who will ask you about your symptoms and arrange for you to see a GP if necessary.

The out-of-hours GP may either call out to see you or you may be asked to attend the primary care emergency centre where the out-of-hours GPs service is based.

The primary care emergency centres within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde region are based at:

  • Drumchapel Day Hospital
  • Easterhouse Health Centre
  • Greenock Health Centre
  • New Stobhill Hospital
  • New Victoria Hospital
  • Royal Alexandra Hospital
  • Southern General Hospital
  • Vale of Leven Hospital
  • Western Infirmary
Please do not attend a primary care emergency centre without calling NHS 24 first.

We have no record of any locations offering this service.
